How to Make Sugar Free Caramel Sweet Potatoes by Sada LaVelle
Looking for a way to get your Sweet Fix without breaking the calorie bank? Well I have the perfect recipe for you! CAUTION: Try not to eat it all in one setting.
3 Medium Sweet Potatoes
¼ Cup Splenda
3 Full Squeezes of Stevia Caramel
1/3 Cup Almonds
Cut across the sweet potato to allow steam to escape while baking. Place sweet potatoes in a pan and fill half way with water. Cover with parchment paper and bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes to an hour. Once cooled, mash sweet potatoes (I like to keep the skin on for texture but you can certainly remove the skin if you prefer your sweet potatoes skinless). Add in your Caramel Stevia, Splenda, Cinnamon, and Almonds! If you’re feeling naughty you can top your sweet potatoes with some Sugar free Chocolate Syrup.
